The Southern Masonry Color Matching and Restoration Services FAQ'S... .. .

Is there a difference between paint and stain?

Yes, our BST Ultra-Translucent Masonry Stain by Brick Staining Technology, Inc. penetrates the surface of the masonry material it is applied to.  While a paint product adheres to the outer surface. Our BST stain sinks into the substrate and bonds below the surface.

What types of surfaces can be stained?

We can stain brick, block, mortar, precast, natural and manufactured stone and FRP.  If your product absorbs water, it will accept our Brick Staining Technology, Inc Ultra-Translucent Masonry Stain. Flat surfaces such as patio pavers, patios, driveways and walkways are also acceptable to our stain.

How is the stain applied?

Normally our stain is applied by hand. However, we use several different techniques such as sponging, spraying, etc. to achieve a perfect color match.  The application process differs for each surface so the most effective technique will be determined on a per job basis.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes, we guarantee our stain for 50 years, so at least that long! In Europe, where the tinting technology originated, there are structures that were tinted over 80 years ago that still look perfect. We also offer extended warranties up to as long as 75 years. "Yes 75 years"

Will you travel outside of the south to perform work?

Yes, we will travel across the United States. Please contact us with any questions.

How much does staining cost?

The cost of the our services are based on a number of factors, due to these factors each job is quoted on a job per job basis. Please contact us for a quotation.

Is it possible to see a sample before the actual job is preformed?
